Which photo should I send for my house portrait?
Send the clearest, straight-on photo you have of the front of the house — phone photos are fine, as long as the whole property is in frame and the light is decent. If the photo is slightly wonky or partially hidden by a tree, send it anyway: our illustrators work from the details they can see and will tidy the composition.
Can I add personal details like the house name or a date?
Yes. Many customers add the house name, a family name, an established date, or even a small detail like the family car or a pet in the garden. Tell us what matters and we will weave it into the illustration.
What if my reference photo is old or low quality?
Old photos of childhood homes and grandparents' houses are completely workable. We redraw the house as an illustration, so we do not need a high-resolution print — we need enough detail to read the architecture, windows and roofline.
How long does my house portrait take to create?
Your portrait is hand-illustrated by our UK design team and we share a proof before printing. Allow 3-5 days for the illustration, then 2-3 days for printing and delivery.
What sizes are available and do you deliver to the UK?
House portraits are available in six sizes, from a small keepsake to a large statement piece for a living room wall. Every canvas is printed and stretched in the UK with free delivery on all orders.
